Hola, Loves! I am a fierce advocate of love, and a believer in the transformative powers of reflection, connection, gratitude, laughter and movement to live more fully.

I grew up overseas in Rota, Spain which is where I began my professional dance journey. I have studied modern, ballet, folkloric, and hip-hop and over the years have developed my own style which is a fusion of dance expression. Tae Kwon Do, kickboxing and other forms of movement joined the party when I moved to the Bay Area wayyyy back in 1997.

My love for learning and passion for wellness led me to become a certified personal trainer, massage practitioner, and yoga teacher. As a wellness nerd, I am rooted in exploring the connections between brain and body and believe the aging journey can be filled with radical self-love, strength and grace.

In addition to teaching a myriad of movement classes, I am a Wellness Coach and movement teacher for U.C. Berkeley staff, creator and leader of Hermosas Retreats, a Women's Transformational Coach for my signature program, Be & Become, and an author (Ready: Heartbreak, Dating & My Journey Toward Love).

In my downtime, I can be found soaking in a hot tub, hiking in the redwoods, or sipping on champagne and eating tapas.

Guest teacher for Rise & Shine

Nicole Gervacio (she/they) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Huchiun, occupied Ohlone land – also known as Oakland, CA.

Throughout her career as an artist, she has led dance classes, choreography, and  movement workshops to inspire the individual as well as the collective.

Nicky aims to curate music that exhilarates dancers and enjoys the challenge of creating choreography that embodies the mood and energy of each song.

You can expect a spectrum of experiences, from aggressive, sharp, and energetic, to soft, slow, and grounded.

Dancers will always be encouraged  to listen to their bodies, take up space, integrate themselves, their style, and to let go.

Nicky is co-founder & co-producer of weriseproduction.com. Learn more about We Rise's Crosspollination series!

Seeding Our Future: Recovering from Covid & Climate Crises is a We Rise animation in collaboration with The Center For Cultural Power.
